Shelby Chapman

Shelby Chapman graduated from SCCC in May of 2017, receiving her associates degree in Liberal Arts- Psychology option. She has been accepted into William Paterson’s Honors Program for the Fall 2017 semester and will be working towards her Bachelors in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology.
Shelby has been involved in many activities and events on campus during her 3 years at SCCC. She started off as an orientation leader, then a student ambassador, where she promoted a transportation program to help students get to school throughout Sussex County. Finally, she took the position of Student Government President in May 2016 with a goal to make the SCCC students feel more accommodated, comfortable, and heard. Shelby plans to carry her past experiences with her to the Alumni position.

Miss Chapman states, “I would love to bring a key element to the table, the voices of the students. Seeing firsthand how important it is to have a platform to speak motivates me to help the current students in every capacity, no matter how small the issue seems. I am excited and eager to create that much needed space!”
