The primary work of the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment is to inform campus decision-making and planning across all the functional areas of the college – enrollment management, staffing, curriculum, student services, finance and facilities. The IR staff collect, analyze and report out qualitative and quantitative data on students, faculty, staff, scheduling, programs and learning outcomes to internal staff as well as to government agencies and accrediting bodies. SCCC IR staff also benchmark data to other higher education institutions. The IR director manages the institutional assessment process to ensure that the College is fulfilling its mission, maintaining quality and achieving its strategic plan objectives.
