The mission of the Office of Institutional Research, Planning, Assessment, and Distance Learning is to inform data-driven campus decision-making and planning across all institutional and academic areas of the college. It provides qualitative and quantitative data to all internal functional areas as well as to external government agencies and accrediting bodies. The Department also manages the institutional assessment process to ensure optimal institutional effectiveness by:
• Monitoring achievement of Strategic Plan initiatives;
• Demonstrating the linkage among planning, assessment, and resource allocation;
• Ensuring continuous improvement toward the fulfillment of the SCCC Mission
The Office of Institutional Research, Planning, Assessment, and Distance Learning will work to increase transparency both within and outside of the college as well as promote a climate of continuous assessment and improvement based on data-driven processes.
