The Associate of Science degree at SCCC is designed to transfer seamlessly into Montclair State University’s Bachelor of Science degrees in the following areas:
• Marine Biology and Coastal Sciences
• Molecular Biology
If you’re interested in becoming a marine biologist, chemist, biochemist, geologist or molecular biologist then an Associate of Science degree from SCCC will start you on your career path. This degree will be fully transferable as the first two years of a Bachelor of Science degree program at MSU’s College of Science and Mathematics. Sussex County Community College is only the second community college in New Jersey to have signed an agreement of this type with Montclair State University’s College of Science and Mathematics.
SCCC students must earn their A.S. degree and major in either Biology, Chemistry or Geology and maintain a minimum grade point average to be eligible for admission to the MSU programs.
