Janet is a professional web designer specializing in flash animations. She is the former Graphic Design Program Coordinator at SCCC and was the web design team leader for a major B2B corporation in Parsippany, N.J. before coming to the college. Janet holds an M.F.A. in Art from Marywood University, an M.A. in Visual Arts from William Paterson University and a B.A. in English from SUNY Albany. In her spare time, Janet teaches spinning at Minerals Sport and Health Club in Vernon, NJ.
Professor Vincent Buchinsky
Vincent has a B.F.A. from Pratt Institute and an M.A. from Montclair University and has attended courses at N.Y.U. and Parson's School of Design. His work has been displayed in various shows in both New Jersey and New York. He is currently working on a series of images for a gallery in Providence, R.I. Vincent's illustrations have been used for various publications by several pharmaceutical companies. In his classes, you will always find a situation that promotes creativity, spontaneity and independence where there are open forums that place people before technology. He believes that "a Computer Graphics education needs a full injection of ART in order for it to work."
Professor Melinda d'Ancona
Melinda began her career as a typesetter in 1977. In 1981, she and her husband started their own typesetting business on Nassau Street in NYC which they sold when they moved to Sussex County in 1986. Melinda went back to nursing school, but after graduating decided to continue with art and graphic design at SCCC. She graduated from SCCC with honors and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. After receiving the Presidential Scholarship she graduated from William Paterson University with a BFA. She believes that graphic design is another tool for the artist and the more fine art you know the better you will design. She is a Chinese Ink Painter and a woodturner. At WPU she had an opportunity to visit China and learn from the foremost Chinese Ink Painters of today. Melinda is a Masters Degree Candidate at Ramapo College.
Professor Roger Williams
Roger has worked in the Graphic Design field since 1971, specializing in Packaging and Print material. He was the senior creative director for a cosmetic and chemical corporation and director of two divisions responsible for all Packaging, New Product Development and Engineering for an International cosmetic and personnel products corporation. He had the opportunity to work and travel internationally for business and opened his own Graphic Design firm in 1981. Roger has been a member and instructor for the National Ski Patrol since 1989.
