This option under the AA in Liberal Arts prepares students for transfer to a four-year college with a major in writing and/or literature. Students who complete this program develop excellent reading, writing, analysis, and research skills. Therefore, an English major can serve as a basis for careers in education, business, law, and publishing.
Students majoring in English at Sussex County Community College are given the opportunity to publish their work in the Idiom & Image as well as other College publications.
