Sussex County Community College men's basketball team beat Passaic County Community College 66-59 in their home opener Tuesday November 17,2015.  The Skylanders were down by 11 at the half but came roaring back late in the second half led by freshman Frank Rios (Newton HS) and his 19 points.  Frank got help from sophomore Godfrey Freemen with 17 points and stellar defensive play came from sophomore Tyler Nichols (Wallkill Valley HS) who recorded 7 blocked shots in the game.  Next up for the men is another power and two time national champions Brookdale Community College ...[Read More]

There will be a mandatory meeting for all players looking to tryout out for Sussex County Community College's baseball team on Thursday, July 30 at 6:00 pm in the E Building. Recruits and returning players are also required to attend this important meeting to file proper paperwork to participate. Topics to be addressed at the meeting include the team rules and practices schedule for Fall Ball 2015. Sussex County Community College prides itself on being a military-friendly college. The staff works closely with veterans on a number of levels, assuring that they get the attention they need. In some cases, veterans need some extra assistance. The SCCC men’s basketball team defeated Luzerne County CC Thursday night, January 15, in the Skylander gym 57-36.   The high scorers for SCCC were Kodie Hilbert(Wallkill Valley) with 16 points, leading the Skylanders, followed by Pat McNamera (Hopatcong HS) with 11 points.  The Skylanders travel to Rowan College at Gloucester County on Saturday, 1/17, and return home on Tuesday, Jan 20, to face the Union CC Owls.
