The men's soccer team are ranked number 9 in the nation for Division III soccer.  At 8-2, the Skylanders have toppled region opponents Ocean CC, Bergen CC, Cumberland, and the County College of Morris, among others.  The Skylanders' only loss in Region XIX for SCCC is to Camden CC, who was ranked number 6 in the nation at the time.  The SCCC men's team currently sit third in the Region XIX standings. The Sussex County Community College men's soccer team is having one season to remember. This past week, the Skylanderslearned that they'd been ranked No. 9 in the National Junior College Athletic Association's Top 10 rankings at the Division III level. However, the Skylanders' success didn't happen overnight. Travis Eustace (Vernon, NJ) was named the Garden State Athletic Conference, GSAC, Player of the Week, and was nominated as the NJCAA PLayer of the Week for the week of September 8, 2014.  Eustace scored 3 goals in 2 games, one of which was the game winner in overtime against Ocean CC.  He has 6 goals through 4 matches. The men's soccer team defeated County College of Morris 4-0 on Thursday, September 11 to improve their record to 2-1. Travis Eustace (Vernon, NJ) scored 2, while Matt Zupkay (Hampton, NJ) and Finn Clifford (Woodleigh, Australia) added to the goal tally also.  Kevin Knissel (Hampton, NJ) and Carmine Caruso (Adelaide, Australia) both had 2 assists.  GK Joshua Gates (Brighton, Australia) had 4 saves and recorded his second shut out of the season.
