Yesterday, 4/01/2014, the SCCC softball team split games with Middlesex County College 6-5 and 8-4.  Kelly Rajczyk (Newton) pitched both games and picked up her first college win.  Gabby DiBanard (Sparta) had 3 RBI's on the day and Andreanna Nordland (Wallkill Valley) scored 3 runs and 2 RBI's as well. Congratulations to Jordan Ray, just named NJCAA Softball Player of the Week!! Leading the Skylanders into six challenging games last week, Ray proved that she could compete with the top teams in Division III. The freshman compiled a .769 (10-for-13) batting average, bringing home seven runs and scoring seven of her own. Ray doubled three times and drew three walks on the week. 5/8/11 Game 1: SCCC - 0, Brookdale CC - 4 Game 2: SCCC - 5, Northampton CC - 11   The Skylanders' season came to an end Saturday as SCCC was defeated in their first two games of the double elimination Region XIX tournament.   Sussex drew the second seeded Brookdale Community College in the first game. Brookdale, the defending NJCAA Division III National Champions outlasted SCCC in the two regular season meetings played at Brookale by scores of 2-0, 1-0.
