4/26/13 - The 7th seeded SCCC Skylanders softball team are set to play 2nd seeded Gloucester County College this Saturday, 4/27, in a first round match up. Sussex clinched their playoff berth when they swept Union County College on 4/18 to bring their region record to 12-12.
The Skylanders are led by Sophomore first basemen Jordan Ray, who was voted this past week's NJCAA Player of the Week. Ray ranked in the top 25 in the nation for batting average, home runs, doubles, and put outs.

Maggie Davenport will be attending the 2013 National Association for Girls and Women in Sports (NAGWS) Celebration after having been named Sussex County Community College’s (SCCC) Woman of the Year. The ceremony will be held on January 27th at Seton Hall University and will recognize nominated female athletes from high schools, two-year colleges, and four-year institutions in New Jersey to choose one overall female to honor. 5-11-2012 - This year, three spring sports athletes were selected to the Region XIX All Region Teams. Players were selected by coaches around the region who voted their choices for each position. All three athletes were strong leaders for their teams on and off the field.
Kyle Tomkins was the only player selected from the Skylanders baseball program, and he was voted to the Region XIX 2nd Team ALL Region. Tomkins, an infielder for Sussex, compiled a respectable batting average of .382 with 50 hits in 131 at-bats. Tomkins also drove in a team leading 26 RBI's and lead the team ...[Read More]

Congratulations to Jordan Ray, just named NJCAA Softball Player of the Week!! Leading the Skylanders into six challenging games last week, Ray proved that she could compete with the top teams in Division III. The freshman compiled a .769 (10-for-13) batting average, bringing home seven runs and scoring seven of her own. Ray doubled three times and drew three walks on the week.
