ServSafe Training Program

Eight hours of instructor led training including the exam. A minimum test score of 75% is needed for food safety certification with the National Restaurant Assoc. Education Foundation.

Required for most managers in a Risk Type 3 food establishment, the ServSafe® training course will provide the tools needed to identify and prevent food borne illnesses. It will help to identify problem areas in the flow of food throughout your operation and provide the tools to minimize risk factors.  Sanitation is presented in a practical, applicable manner, including pest control issues.

Course requirements: ServSafe Coursebook with Answer Sheet 6th Edition Revised (NOT Manager edition), including the exam answer sheet, MUST be purchased and studied in advance of the 8-hour review course including all practice questions at the end of each chapter. If you are sharing a book, you must purchase an exam answer sheet separately for $41. Please be sure to include this on your registration form as a separate line item.

Two forms of ID (one photo) are required in order to take the exam. IDs must be presented at the beginning of the class. The exam will begin promptly at 4:00 pm immediately following the instruction and review. There will be a 30-minute break for lunch, so bring your own lunch and beverages.

Alternate language textbooks are available through the ServSafe web site at  Alternate language exams are also available and must be ordered three (3) weeks in advance to allow for special exam order. Test Language – English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and French Canadian.
