ZZZ627A2 ER/Patient Care Technician Career Program
The career outlook for ER Technician’s is expected to grow faster than average with a potential increase of 23% through 2022
This 50 hour course offers advanced skills to both CNA’s and EMT’s seeking to obtain employment as an ER Technician or Patient Care Technician in an acute care setting.
All students will acquire the additional skills of: 12 lead EKG’s, phlebotomy (dermal and venipuncture), glucometry, specimen collection, point of care testing and the “5” VS including BP.
BLS certification and patient care skills are elements of this course and is dependent upon entry certification held by the student for these class concepts.
This comprehensive course also focuses and includes the employability skills of “customer service for healthcare providers” and leadership concepts.
Entry Requirements: 18 yrs. of age or older, HS diploma/GED, current CNA certification in good standing OR current EMT certification, 6 months – 1 year documented correlating work experience preferred.
Class Dates: March 7 – April 11, 2017 M/T/W (see class dates and times below)
Tuition: $699.00 + textbook for those seeking BLS certification.
