NJBIA & NJCCC Workforce Training Grant

basicskillslogSkylands Professional Training is proud to announce the availability of grant-funded MS Excel & PowerPoint training for employees of NJ-based businesses and organizations, including small business owner-operators. This program, a partnership between the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), the State’s community colleges and the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development, makes this grant-funded training opportunity available.

Courses Available for Fall 2016

Microsoft Excel 2013– Level 1
Microsoft Excel basics include spreadsheets, formulas, text and cell formatting, and viewing and printing a workbook.

Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 – Level 1
Understand the basics of PowerPoint to include the use of pictures, Word art, inset tables, diagrams, use the slide feature and make presentations.

Microsoft Excel 2013 – Level 2
Reinforce the elements introduced in Microsoft Excel – Level 1, and expand upon that base to include more complex activities, such as functions, charts, sorting and filtering records.

Microsoft PowerPoint – Level 2
Reinforce the elements introduced in Microsoft PowerPoint Level I, and expand upon that base to include more complex activities to enhance the use of pictures, Word art, inset tables, diagrams, video, etc. to make spectacular presentations.

Employees must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Employed at least 20 hours per week
  • Be paid by employer at their usual hourly rate while in training

NOTE: Employer must have a valid FEIN number. Courses are not available to State or local government employees.
