Convenience is key with classes offered at Hopatcong H.S.

Taking college classes close to home is the key advantage for Hopatcong residents and the surrounding areas. Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is offering over 17 new courses for the start of the spring semester on January 22. The classes are open to everyone and the credits can be used to complete an associate degree at SCCC or easily transferred to a four-year college.

New courses at Hopatcong High School will allow students in these areas to have the convenience of travel plus be able to add to their college transcripts. New classes include Character Design, Computer Concepts, English Comp I, Food Service Sanitation, History of Rock & Roll, Intro to Exercise Science, Intro to Hotel & Restaurant Mgmt., Into to Meteorology, Intro to Psychology, Music Theory, Painting, Statistics, and Video, Motion Graphics and more.

SCCC is offering extended office hours:

  • Mondays (8 am to 6:30 pm) – January 8 and January 22 (we are closed on January 15th for Martin Luther King Day)
  • Thursdays (8 am to 6:30 pm) – January 11, January 18 and January 25
  • Saturdays (9 am to 12 noon) – January 13 and January 20
