Horton Pantry

The Horton Food Pantry will have regular hours starting in the Fall 2017 semester: Mondays 6:00 – 8:00 PM

During the summer of 2017, the Horton Pantry can provide food bags on an as-needed basis.  If you are an SCCC student and would like a food bag, just call 973-300-2200 to request a pick-up date/time.

According to a March 15, 2017 report in The Atlantic: After surveying 33,000 students across 70 community colleges in 24 states, around two-thirds of these students have limited or uncertain access to nutritionally adequate and safe foods. The need for the Horton Pantry was recognized and created to serve our students.

All Food Bags Contain:
Each food bag will feed a family of 4 for about 3-4 days. It is considered supplementary to a healthy, balanced diet of fresh produce and proteins. The Horton Pantry has partnerships with larger local food pantries that can provide supplementary fresh foods.
