The Office of Marketing and Public Information at Sussex County Community College (SCCC) was recently awarded a Silver Paragon Award from the National Council of Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) at their annual awards ceremony, this year held in San Francisco, California on March 13th.

NCMPR exists to “recognize outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges.” More than 80 judges from around the country reviewed nearly two thousand entries in the annual competition. Out of all those entries, Kathy Peterson, Assistant Director of Marketing and Public Information at SCCC, won a Silver Paragon Award for the brochure she created highlighting the calendar of events at the campus’ Performing Arts Center. This is the third time she has earned the college a prestigious Paragon award.

Peterson reflects on her award, “It’s just an honor to be recognized by other professionals in the marketing field.”
