NEWTON, NJ—Prior to the start of the women’s basketball game on January 3, The Sussex County Community College (SCCC) women’s basketball team presented Ocean County Community College (OCCC) with a check totaling $405 as a show of support due to Super Storm Sandy’s devastation. Funds will help students and student-athletes at the college.
“We all saw the devastation on the news and knew how much the people there were suffering,” said John Kuntz, Assistant Dean of Athletics. “The reaction received from the coach and players were one of appreciativeness of SCCC’s efforts.”

SCCC’s effort was led by sophomore guard Kelsee Tironi who scored a game-high of 16 points and Lindsay Hoffman with 9 points.
