NJ State Teen Arts – student artwork on display

The paintings, drawings, and photographs created by the outstandingly talented students across New Jersey whose work was exclusively selected as the “Best of the Festival” at the 2016 New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival will be on display at Sussex County Community College in the Health Science and Performing Arts Center from December 1 through December 30.

The Sussex County students featured in the exhibit are part of an exclusive selection of the top 30 pieces of artwork by NJ Teen Artists. The Sussex County students in the exhibit are Madison Wells of Newton High School, Jane Sosik of Sparta High School, Lexie Malavet of High Point Regional High School and Brooke Rivera of Pope John XXIII Regional High School.

The exhibit features art work completed by gifted and talented students who have participated in their county festivals from across the state and have been selected from thousands of students art work to be part of NJ State Teen Arts Touring Exhibition. The NJ State Teen Arts Festival offers an opportunity for top students in their art forms to present their work in creative writing, dance, instrumental music, vocal music, acting and visual arts.

The annual NJ State Teen Arts Festival, this year will be held on May 31, June 1 & 2017 at Ocean County College in Toms River, NJ.  Top artists/teachers from around the region come to critique, as well as to teach workshops and master classes in their individual specialties, including drama, filmmaking, voice, acting, instrumental music and more.

All schools and students across the state of New Jersey are invited to attend our festival and participate in the following: Master Class Workshops, networking opportunities, College/Internship Fair, and observe all presentations and art exhibits.
