The Sussex County Community College Library will provide:
- An organized and readily accessible collection of materials which enriches and supports the college curriculum, facilitates independent research and study, and contributes to the intellectual, moral and cultural development of the College Community.
- Qualified and concerned staff members committed to serving the needs of students, staff and the Community.
- Facilities and resources that encourage the teaching and learning aspect of the institution as well as community service.
- Other appropriate support in helping to perform the mission and meet the goals of Sussex Community College.
The Library staff is committed to the Mission Statement's path in meeting the information needs of the college community.
The SCCC Library collection consists of approximately 38,000 items including, videos, DVD’s and periodicals. A number of workstations provide access to subscription electronic databases. The Internet may be accessed for academic research at additional workstations or via laptop computers available in the Library. We also provide a wireless network for library patrons to access the Internet using their own wireless-enabled device. The Library's electronic catalog can be accessed through terminals located throughout the facility as well as from home.
The SCCC Library is located on the college's campus and is housed on the second floor of L Building, SCCC’s new science building that opened in 2004.
The Library hours of operation may vary due to holidays and times when no classes are scheduled.
