Associate in Arts, A.A.

The Associate in Arts degree is designed for transfer to a four-year institution.

Associate in Fine Arts, A.F.A.

The Associate in Fine Arts degree is designed for the student who is planning a career in studio arts, photography or design or who plans to transfer to a four-year institution or professional art school.

Associate in Science, A.S.

The Associate in Science degree is designed for transfer to a four-year institution. The programs leading to the Associate in Science degree parallel those offered in the freshman and sophomore years at four-year institutions.

Associate in Applied Science, A.A.S.

The Associate in Applied Science degrees are career-related and designed for the student who is planning to enter the workforce upon graduation.

Joint Degree Programs with Rutgers University

Rutgers University and SCCC have developed several Joint Program. This program allows students to attend SCCC and earn college credits entering one of these programs.  These programs are offered jointly with Rutgers School of Health Related Professions (SHRP). Students must apply to the Rutgers School of Health Related Professions for admission into the core courses. Acceptance into the professional phase of the program is highly competitive and does not guarantee entrance into the program. Please review the checksheets for the minimum cum G.P.A. and the minimum number of credits needed to be taken at SCCC.

These certificates are awarded to those students who successfully complete programs that are offered for college credit and which require a general education component.

Certificates of Achievement

Short-term certificates designed for professional development, able to be completed in 12 months or less.

Health Science Certificates

These certificates are non-credit but may be applied to the A.A.S. in Health Sciences.
