Transfer Student

NEW or TRANSFER Students (Degree and Non-Degree Seeking) –
• You must COMPLETE the application for admission Apply on line.
• Once admitted you will receive an Official Letter of Acceptance which will include your student ID Number. If you score a 530 Math and a 540 Critical Reading on your SAT’s or a 23 on ACT’s you do not need to take the Accuplacer Test.
• If needed take The Accuplacer (College Placement Test) This test will help us know which classes will be right for you. You will need SCCC student ID # to take the test. Any questions please call the Testing Center at 973-300-2242
• Apply for Financial Aid by going to www.fafsa.gov and apply. SCCC ID # is 025688. Once you complete the FAFSA and register for classes call the Financial Aid Office at 973-300-2225 to determine your aid status.
• We encourage all students to visit the Counseling/Advisement Center no appointment necessary. Here is where plan your schedule. An advisor will consider your academic goals and objectives and transfer intentions to help you plan.
• Register for classes. After you complete you’re advising with the Counseling/Advisement Center take your completed registration form to the Registrar’s Office and we will formally register you for your courses. Register’s number is 973-300-2218
