After graduating from SCCC, Gonzalez plans to go to Rutgers University and then medical school. The doctor-to-be speaks English, Spanish, and French yet continues to study German and Mandarin.
The United Way Alternative Spring Break works to team up college student with communities in need across the country. Project Newark is brought together through a partnership of the United Way of Northern New Jersey and United Way of Essex and West Hudson in attempts to “close the achievement gap for children of limited means in Newark.”
