Academic Advisement

Priority Registration for Summer and Fall, 2008 Begins March 31, 2008
Start with Early Advisement Beginning March 12, 2008 in The Counseling Center
Open Registration Begins April 14, 2008

Students with 24 or fewer credits completed are assigned to The Counseling Center for advisement EXCEPT for the following majors which are assigned to a faculty member: Accounting, Child Development, Graphic Design, Hotel/Restaurant Management, Human Services or Community Care, Paralegal Studies, or Studio Arts/Design or Photography.

Students who have completed 25 or more credits are assigned to a full time faculty member and are notified by letter of the faculty advisor's name.

Priority Registration provides an opportunity for currently enrolled students to select their classes in advance of new and transfer students. No appointment is necessary to meet with a counselor, and it is recommended that students seek advisement in advance of the registration dates. Students may check the web site for the next semester's schedule of courses, or pick up a Course Guide in The Counseling Center. Current checksheets for each major are available in The Counseling Center and Elective choices are identified on Page 40 of the College Catalog.
