National Center for PTSD
Although we provide no direct clinical care, our purpose is to improve the well-being and understanding of American Veterans. We conduct cutting edge research and apply resultant findings to:”Advance the Science and Promote Understanding of Traumatic Stress.”
Half of Us: Veteran Students
Almost 75% of 18-29 year olds personally know someone who has served in Iraq or Afghanistan. As these brave veterans come home, it is important that we all do our part to understand their perspective and help in their transition back into civilian life, especially since many of these veterans will be starting or returning to college for the first time.
The student veteran stories and this resource center were created with the support of The Bob Woodruff Foundation.
