Adjunct - Acting & Lighting

Job Description

Sussex County Community College currently has a position opening for an adjunct instructor to teach Theater Arts courses in Acting I, Acting II, Theater and Event Lighting, among others on our Newton campus starting in August 2024. 

Required Education/Experience by Discipline 

• Master's (Preferred) or current enrollment in a Master’s program 

Applicants must have a Master's degree in Drama and Theater Arts with a specialization in Acting or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree would be considered with appropriate experience and specialization. 

Qualifications 

• Stage Movement and Stage Combat training a plus. 
• Ability to partner across departments and with the regional communities. 
• Two years teaching experience is preferred (especially at the collegiate level). Experience teaching college level Acting classes is greatly preferred. 
• Work with LED lighting, light board and lighting theater performances.
