Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Thursday Evening Classes - Fall and Spring Semesters

We are currently seeking Part-Time New Jersey State Licensed Cosmetology Instructors. Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic cosmetologist who is ready to make a difference by educating students who are eager to train in Cosmetology? Then bring your talent and skill to Sussex County Community College where you CAN make a difference. You must have a passion for educating, motivating, mentoring and coaching the future Cosmetologists in all classroom and clinical systems.

We are seeking professionals to:

  • Serve as an instructor for the evening Cosmetology program (Monday-Thursday from 4:45-10:00pm)
  • Provide instruction that fulfills the NJ State Board of Cosmetology requirements for licensure.
  • Experienced in positive and effective communication, soft skills, professional development skills, and teamwork.
  • Facilitate the classroom instructional process, evaluate students, monitor/maintain progress; maintain attendance and grade records, work to retain students.
  • Maintain safety and sanitation measures to meet NJ State Board of Cosmetology Requirements; and
  • Use current technology in preparation, creation and delivery of instruction, and maintain updated course syllabi.

Qualifications:

  • Currently holds a NJ State Board Cosmetology License;
  • Currently holds a NJ State Board Cosmetology Teacher License;
  • 2 years of teaching experience preferred;
  • Models exceptional service in a simulated salon environment that will enable students to develop manipulative skills and knowledge needed to achieve licensure.
