Adjunct - English Effective Speaking

Job Description

Sussex County Community College currently has an opening for adjunct English instructors to teach Effective or Public Speaking classes face-to-face on our Newton campus for Spring 2025.

This is a course in public speaking which stresses speech organization, effective delivery and critical listening skills.  A strong emphasis is placed on student performance to help the student gain speech practice and develop self-confidence in a variety of speaking situations.

Required Education/Experience:

Successful applicants will have a Master’s degree in English or Communications or Rhetoric. 

- Computer/technological skills are required.

Two years teaching experience in Effective or Public Speaking is preferred (especially at the collegiate level).
