Job Description

Part time, grant funded ESOL Program Assistant.

Enters, manages and maintains data for all students enrolled in the ESOL Program. Updates and reports data accordingly for the WIOA Title II grant. Maintains and tracks student data using databases/software programs and creates administrative Reports. In addition to administrative tasks, duties include assisting all ESOL instructors with in class support, attendance tracking, student meetings, and student testing.

  1. Inputs and maintains student data for students enrolled in the ESL Program.
  2. Manages and maintains online databases, reporting systems, evaluations, and updates individual student records as well as student program goals.
  3. Maintains accurate student records and completes state-required forms for grant reports and state monitoring.
  4. Tracks and inputs daily, bimonthly, and monthly student attendance hours. Maintains contact with students regarding attendance.
  5. Conducts pre- and post-testing using program software (CASAS). Manages online test sessions, proctor student testing, and track post-test requirements.
  6. Assists new ESL students in the registration process (IDs, E-Mails, Regroup, Remind, etc.).
  7. Provides in class support to ESOL students and instructors.
  8. Attends all virtual LiteracyPro/LACES meetings, trainings, workshops, and professional development.
  9. Maintains program files, forms and handouts.
  10. Performs other job-related duties as requested.

Education:

Associate’s Degree or higher

Salary:  $17.00 per hour
