Join the SCCC Film Festival and Communications Department for a free screening of the suspense filled film NOTORIOUS directed by Alfred Hitchcock and a deep dive talk about the film with classic movie author, John DiLeo. DiLeo spends most Sunday afternoons introducing classic movies (and leading post-film discussions) at the historic Milford Theater in Milford, PA.
One of the greatest of Alfred Hitchcock’s thrillers, NOTORIOUS (1946) stars Hitchcock favorites Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman. Within a post-WWII South America, the stars play US spies trying to infiltrate and unravel a group of Nazis who are secretly plotting to make their comeback on the world stage. Claude Rains (in an Oscar-nominated performance) plays the main Nazi, unsuspectingly falling madly in love with Bergman. NOTORIOUS is exciting, romantic, and thoroughly absorbing, with three classic stars at their peaks, and a director who justifies his tag as the Master of Suspense.
