Career and Technical Education (CTE) is now a pathway for anyone looking to gain an in-demand career and life skills that position them to enter their chosen profession or jump-start a college education.

Join Sussex County Community College and explore the many options available at the

“One-Stop” Career & Technical Education Open House
Thursday, June 2, from 6 pm-8 pm
in the Performing Arts Center

Attendees will learn about industry-standard career training programs that prepare students with the advanced skills necessary to enter the workforce. Industry leaders will be on hand to discuss job opportunities in programs such as automotive, culinary arts, diesel, medical assisting, optics technology, welding, and more. Student Support Services help with applications, register students for classes, and discuss financial aid options. A shuttle service will bring attendees to the McGuire Building throughout the evening. Light refreshments will be served.

Sussex offers over 30 Associate of Applied Science degrees to help position students to enter the workforce upon graduation.

For students looking to start a career as an Electrical Lineman, a special Open House will take place on May 20 from 9 am-Noon to discuss, apply, and register for this new program.

Additionally, Sussex offers a unique dormitory program with Centenary University in nearby Hackettstown for students in need of housing. Students who stay at Centenary can partake in Centenary activities and access a free shuttle to the SCCC campus throughout the semester.

Students should file a FAFSA now to secure financial aid. Scholarships are also available for students to apply for the fall semester.
