SCCC Foundation Honors Community Impact: $3M Milestone

7/1/2025 12:00:00 PM

The Sussex County Community College (SCCC) Foundation is proud to announce a major milestone: $3 million in total gifts and contributions have been raised over the past five years. This is a historic achievement that underscores the community’s unwavering commitment to student success, academic excellence, and regional growth.

This significant milestone reflects the incredible generosity of individual donors, local businesses, alumni, and community partners who have rallied behind the Foundation’s mission to support SCCC’s students and programs. The funding has directly contributed to scholarships, state-of-the-art classroom equipment, athletic and arts initiatives, and workforce development programs that address regional needs.

“This is more than a dollar amount, it’s a testament to the belief our community has in the power of education,” said Stan Kula, Executive Director of the SCCC Foundation. “These gifts have helped transform lives, making college accessible and meaningful for thousands of students. We are deeply grateful for every donor who made this possible.”

Over the past five years, the Foundation has expanded its fundraising strategies through annual giving campaigns, special events, planned giving, and partnerships with area foundations and corporations. Each effort has played a critical role in reaching this landmark total.

Dr. Cory Homer, President of SCCC, added, “Our students are thriving because of the generosity of our supporters. This milestone reflects their dedication to educational excellence at SCCC. We look forward to building on this momentum and making an even greater impact in the years ahead.”

The Foundation will celebrate this achievement at its annual “Funding Their Future” event on Wednesday, October 15 at 5:30 pm at Perona Farms in Sparta, NJ. The Foundation will recognize key donors and community partners for their meaningful contributions.
