SCCC Student Is First to Receive Mechatronics Certification

Congratulations to Sussex County Community College student Francesco Marando for his achievement of receiving the National Coalition of Certification Centers certification in Mechatronics. Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary arena that applies skill sets needed in the modern automation and robotics industries. Elements of mechanics, electronics, and computing are combined to create simpler, smarter systems.

Robotics at SCCC

This program aims to apply technology theory to real-world experiences, preparing students for careers in demand by today's industries. Students are offered opportunities to explore career paths and earn industry credentials in Programmable Logic Controllers, Robotics, and Mechatronics. The program's emphasis is placed on the ability to think, work on a team and create. Robotics offers personalized learning that fits students' wants and needs to produce well-rounded graduates.
