Figuring out how to navigate the college financial aid process can be overwhelming. Students and parents can find direction and ease the burden of this intimidating process.
Sussex County Community College will offer scheduled workshops to assist college-bound students and their parents in filling out the FAFSA forms. These hour-long workshops, which are free and open to the public, will guide participants through the many steps needed to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid Application).
The workshops are held on the SCCC campus every Wednesday.
Students and their parents are encouraged to attend. Please arrive promptly to allow sufficient time to complete the forms. Participants should bring the proper documentation; see here.
The US Department of Education (USDOE) made several significant changes this year to the form, the formula to calculate eligibility, and the terms used when discussing financial aid eligibility.
