Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is excited to present its 24th Annual Golf Outing. This unique event combines the thrill of golf with the picturesque setting of the Great Gorge Golf Club in Vernon, NJ, on Thursday, October 3rd.
The annual golf event is more than just a day on the course; it's a testament to SCCC's commitment to lifelong learning and community enrichment. By supporting the Athletic Department's mission, we enhance the collegiate athletic experience for our students and foster campus spirit. With its longstanding community patronage, the Skylanders Annual Golf Outing plays a crucial role in generating essential resources to support SCCC student-athletes.
"The SCCC Skylander Golf Outing is our premier fundraising event," remarked Todd Poltersdorf, Associate Dean of Athletics/Student Discipline/Alumni. "It's a day filled with camaraderie and competition on the golf course, all in support of our student-athletes. Funds raised contribute directly to new equipment, scholarship funds, and more. I eagerly anticipate reconnecting with familiar faces and welcoming new participants on October 3rd."
The Golf Outing starts with registration and breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start in a four-person scramble format at 9:00 a.m. A post-golf lunch, silent auction, and awards ceremony will cap off the day's activities. The registration fee is $125 per golfer and $450 for a foursome, with various sponsorship opportunities available at different levels.
Registration is available online at sussex.edu/golfouting for those interested in participating or sponsoring. For further details, please get in touch with the SCCC Athletic Department at 973.300.2252 or email tpolersdorf@sussex.edu.
