Sussex County Community College has been awarded $1,116,411.52 through an incentive program with Elizabethtown Gas to upgrade the legacy HVAC systems in the Library Science Building. The funding will allow SCCC to replace the outdated units with new, high-efficiency systems designed to deliver long-term benefits for both the College and the environment.

The improvements are expected to significantly reduce utility costs by lowering energy consumption, create a more comfortable and consistent indoor environment for students, faculty, and staff, and lessen the College’s overall environmental footprint through decreased energy use. This investment marks an important step forward in SCCC’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, efficiency, and student success.

This vibrant environment will provide students with the resources and support they need to thrive both academically and personally.
