Pike County residents benefit from in-state rates

Sussex County Community College’s fall registration is in full swing. New and returning students are scheduling their classes for the fall semester at a fraction of the cost of other colleges.

Tuition for Pike County residents is offered at the in-state rate for New Jersey. These cost savings will enable students, who live close to Sussex County, a reduced rate to attend the College. The benefits of a community college education make sense to students who are looking to get a quality education without a lot of debt. Compare and save from surrounding area community colleges, with over $3000 a year in tuition savings!

In addition to the many degree and certificate programs, Sussex allows students to choose the educational track that works for them—offering degree and certificate programs that fit into a bachelor’s degree or choosing a career and technical program that allows students to jump-start their careers.

“I was able to get a great education at a fraction of the price at Sussex,” stated Erin Douglas, 2018 SCCC graduate. “Being at SCCC helped me figure out what I wanted to do. There is no such thing as “too smart” for community college. I was able to graduate with a bachelor’s degree from West Chester University, and I currently enrolled in a Doctor of Audiology program at Montclair State University.”

The College will be offering classes in many different modalities this coming fall; in-person, remote online, live online and hybrid instruction will all be available. The College will have plans in place to ensure student and employee safety while on campus.

Additionally, some students will be able to qualify for the $1,000 Pennsylvania Gap Assistance program.

Students not currently enrolled at Sussex must fill out an application which is available online at sussex.edu/admissions. Registration for the fall semesters continues until the start of classes on September 8th.
