Sussex County Community College’s Public Safety Training Academy (PSTA) held its annual Firefighters graduation. This year, the Academy had the honor of presenting 40 graduates who were enrolled in the firefighter program.
The graduates are crucial to the support of the local volunteer fire companies across Sussex County. The Director of the PSTA, John Dixon, and his team brought together over 250 firefighters, family members, and friends for this important celebration.
PSTA is privileged to have the Branchville Fire Department act as the Honor Guard for the event, live music presented by the Bergen County Firefighter’s Pipe Band, and notable speakers, including NJ State Fire Marshall Rich Mikutsky; County Fire Marshall Virgil Rome; CEO of the National Fallen Firefighter’s Foundation, Victor Stagnaro; and Keynote Speaker, Mike Daley, Captain of the Monroe Fire Department.
Sussex County Community College and the Public Safety Training Academy is proud of the graduates and the firefighters of Sussex County.
The PSTA is ramping up its course offerings, programming, and services to local law enforcement, firefighters, EMS and the community. For more information, please visit sussex.edu/psta.
