"I Can! We Can!” focuses on a day in the life of kids in school. The class meets a new student, the class learns about other cultures, and each student tries different things they thought they couldn't do. Themes include acceptance, friendship, kindness and sharing.
Children young and old are invited to attend the Theater Workshop and the Child Development and Education Program’s immersive and magical production at Sussex County Community College. The show is geared for Theater for a Young Audience and will be held at the College’s Student Center Theater in The Student Center (D) Building. This is a family friendly event where children will experience a creation station, enjoy the show and meet and greet the story characters, and a heart-shaped cookie and water will be provided.
In the play, all characters will be wearing a heart around their neck. Their hearts will tear when they get sad or hurt feelings. At the end of the story, when the kids apologize, the hearts will be mended.
