10/8/2018 2:13:37 PM

Help Sussex County Community College students attain their dreams by attending a night of comedy, local food and drink, and great company to benefit the College's scholarship program.

Funding Their Future will be held Thursday, Nov. 1, at Perona Farms in Andover.

"This will be a delightful celebration to raise funds for students as well as offer a boost to programs that benefit them" said Monica Lemperle, Director of the Foundation at Sussex County Community College.

The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour featuring tasty samplings from a number of local restaurants, including Andre’s, Krave, Wheelhouse, Eddie’s Roadhouse, Perona Farms and Springhouse Creamery. Beer, wine, and liquor tastings will also be available from local favorites Czig Meister, Milk Street Distillery, and Ventimiglia Vineyard.

A salad course and full dinner will then be served by Perona Farms. Assorted homemade pies provided by Clove Brook Market and ice cream from Windy Brow Farms will cap the meal.

Patrons will be able to take part in a silent auction and 50/50 raffle throughout the evening, the proceeds of which will directly benefit student scholarships and college programs and initiatives.

The featured performer is Mike Speirs, a New York based comedian armed with an engaging storytelling ability, open and honest material, and quick wit.  Entertainment provided by Free Spirit Comedy.

Tickets for this incredible evening of food and laughter are $100 per person.

The event is hosted by The SCCC Foundation, which supports scholarship and college program initiatives.  Generously sponsored by Thorlabs, iHeart Media, Lakeland Bank, SB One Bank, Emily & Ira Polk, Lorraine & Tim Parker, and Nisivoccia LLP. To support this event, make a donation, or to purchase tickets, please visit sussex.edu/scholarshipevent.
