Uwill yellow and purple logoWith the overwhelming need to address mental health and wellness in our college students, particularly following the global pandemic, Sussex County Community College (SCCC) found a solution with new mental health support. SCCC is proud to partner with Uwill, the leading mental health and wellness solution that offers free immediate access to teletherapy, a direct crisis connection, and a wellness program through an easy-to-use online platform and crisis hotline.

“Our students’ mental health is of the utmost importance,” stated Jamie Borger, Director of Student Success. “With the new partnership with Uwill, we are providing a convenient way for our students, who may be suffering from any type of mental health stress, to speak with a professional counselor. The health and well-being of our students are critical for their overall success.

This user-friendly program eliminates the stigma associated with admitting one may have a mental health issue by creating a welcoming environment for students to speak openly with a counselor about their crisis without bias or judgment. Uwill is free of charge for all current SCCC students, and no insurance is required. Uwill’s licensed mental health professional counselors conduct their video, telephone, chat or teletherapy sessions privately, securely and confidentially.

Getting started is quick and easy. Register and log in to Uwill and choose a counselor based on your preferences, including availability, issue, gender, language, or ethnicity. Students may also choose a time that fits their schedule best with day, night, and weekend availability. Students may register and book a session in just a few minutes using their Sussex email account. Sessions run 30 minutes for video and 15 minutes for chat therapy.

For current SCCC students experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 833-646-1526 at any time to speak confidentially with a counselor free of charge. Those needing assistance may refer to the Uwill FAQ, Student User Guide or reach out directly to Uwill at support@uwill.com.
