Robotics Technology Option – A.A.S.

Turn your passion for fabrication into a career!

The Robotics Technology program is a highly applicable path with numerous routes to a successful career. Students receive solid academic instruction with many opportunities to express creativity and innovative thinking by designing robotic prototypes and building, evaluating, and repairing robotic systems.

What do Robotics/Electro-mechanical technicians do?
Robotics is a blend of many different fields. Students will acquire knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, as well as computer science & cognitive psychology. The field also overlaps largely with artificial intelligence, mechatronics, nanotechnology, and bioengineering.

Robotics/Electro-mechanical technicians

  • test, operate, or maintain robotic equipment at worksites.
install, repair, upgrade, and test electronic and computer-controlled
    mechanical systems.
  • combine knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge
of electrical and electronic circuits. They operate,
  • test, and maintain unmanned, automated, robotic, or electromechanical
