Registration for Current Students

Current students can register early during Priority Registration - a two-week period when only current SCCC students can register for the following semester. Registering early for the next semester allows you to get the classes you need to complete your degree and secure a great schedule before registration opens to the public. See courses.

Plan for Priority Registration

  1. Review your Program Course Sequencing (see an example) for your major to see which classes you will need. They can be found under Academics, under your major.
  2. Look up courses on the My Sussex portal and prepare a schedule.
    • For questions, reach out to your advisor to review your academic goals before registering and throughout the year. Advisor Assignments are under the Student Tab, Advising Information on your portal.
  3. Payments must be current to register online. The full balance is due unless you enroll in a Payment Plan or secure financial aid.
  4. Self-Register online during and after Priority Registration.
    • Online Registration: Log in to your My Sussex portal. Watch the video below to register. You can also print these Online Registration Instructions.
For technical issues, contact IT Service - 973-300-2333 or itservice@sussex.edu.

Watch this quick video on how to register on the my.sussex portal.

What happens when Priority Registration is over?
You can still register, but registration now opens to all new students which will limit your class selection.

Make sure to file your FAFSA
File your Federal Student Aid early. View the financial aid documents on your My Sussex portal. Visit Financial Aid for more information.
