The following support services and community resources were compiled to assist those in need.

National Domestic Violence Hotline:
Offers crisis intervention, referrals to shelters and information about working through the criminal justice system.

National Sexual Assault Hotline: 
Run under RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) connects callers to sexual assault service providers that are free and confidential.

New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault:
Offers information, resources, and programs pertaining to sexual assault. Represents the twenty-one county-based rape crisis centers, and the Rutgers University Office of Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance by changing the mindset and cultural norms that promote “rape culture.”

Provides compensation to innocent victims of a violent crime.

Rainn (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network
Largest anti-sexual violence organization and gives resources, information, and programs to help with prevention, sexual assault resources, and information.

Addiction Resource: Provides information to educate better and support the community about substance abuse. Offers resources to those who are looking to get more information about treatment, and for those who are in recovery. Hotlines and self-assessments are also available.

Specifically for college students. Discusses common feelings and mental health concerns, provides resources on and off the college campus and lists information on how to help yourself or a friend who may be struggling.

IMAlive
An online chat for individuals in crisis. Their focus is on suicide intervention, prevention, awareness, and education.

Jed Foundation
The Jed Foundation’s mission is to promote emotional health and prevent suicide at colleges and universities.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
A network of crisis centers committed to suicide prevention that is located in communities across the country. People in emotional distress or suicidal crisis can call anytime from anywhere in the nation and speak to a trained worker who will listen to and assist callers with getting the help they need.
