The LACE program was created to assist developmentally disabled adults in an educational and social setting.
Sussex County Community College’s LACE Program (Learning At College Experience) provides a dynamic inclusive learning environment for post-high school students to access life-long learning and social opportunities in an accessible and supportive community environment.
Emphasis is placed on maintaining and increasing social and academic skills, specifically in the following areas:
Students are assigned to different sections for academic purposes and join together at various times for group interaction and guest presenters. Electives are woven into the curriculum.
SPRING 2024 - 14 sessions of two hours each

Mandatory Fall 2024 Orientation
Date and Time: Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 5 - 7 PM
Location: On the main campus and room location will be sent with registration materials.
Registration deadline: Friday, May 17, 2024
Students will be accepted for the Fall 2024 semester and must attend the in-person orientation along with a parent/guardian. A program overview will be presented, and academic assessments will take place afterwards. Students may choose to attend in-person or participate virtually on ZOOM.
Once accepted, course payment paperwork needs to be completed. School purchase orders are accepted. SCCC is a DDD approved vendor for Goods and Services both with PPL and Easterseals. If paying personally, payment will be due before class starts.
