A great education is in reach, register today

Sussex County Community College’s registration is in full swing. New and returning students have been getting their classes set for the fall semester.  New students can easily apply online and view course offerings at my.sussex.edu.

In addition to our many degrees and certificates, Sussex has added five new programs, allowing students to choose the educational track that works for them. Offering degree and certificate programs that fit into a bachelor’s degree or choosing a career and technical program that allows students to jump-start their careers.

The benefits of a community college education make sense to students who are looking to get a quality education without a lot of debt.

“I knew Sussex would give me the foundation I needed to build up from and lead me towards the decision of my future career,” stated Brianna Inglima, student. “I had also learned about the NJ Stars program and worked hard to qualify for it to make Sussex an even better choice for me financially.”

Students are able to use programs such as NJ Stars, the Equal Opportunity Fund (EOF) and many others to offset their education. Financial aid is available to most students who qualify, and scholarships fill the gap from generous donors.

The partnerships the College has built with many 4-year colleges and universities, known as Transfer Agreements, give students a seamless transition on to their bachelor’s degree. Along with the New Jersey Transfer Agreement students are able to transfer all their credits and start their bachelor’s at junior year status.

The Advising and Counseling Center is open Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students may meet with an advisor for guidance on their academic path and career planning.

Students not currently enrolled at Sussex must fill out an application which is available online at sussex.edu/admissions. Registration for the fall semester continues until the start of classes, but students are encouraged to register early as many courses fill fast.
