Rave Emergency Alert System

Rave Alert is Sussex County Community College’s emergency notification system. It allows you to quickly receive emergency communications and other important information via text message and email. Notifications may be about inclement weather alerts or other emergency communications. Rave Alert system will NOT charge you in any way.
You should review your profile periodically to ensure that it is up to date.

Students are automatically signed up for the Rave system upon registration. College employees should sign up for notifications by registering at http://www.getrave.com/login/sussex.

Once you have logged into your account, you can add your cell phone number to receive instant texts, a landline number for voice recordings, and other email addresses.

The following may be activated in the event of an emergency:

  • A message posted to the College's website
  • A message posted on the College's social media sites.
  • A message sent via the College's Rave Emergency Alert system

We activate Rave for emergencies as described below:

  • Active Threats or other imminent violent threats
  • Fire alarms, natural gas leaks, and hazardous spills
  • Building evacuations and lockdowns
  • Biological or pandemic emergency notifications
  • Natural disasters
  • Power outages and utility failures
  • Campus closure due to declared civil emergency
  • Inclement weather situations
