Apprenticeships Community Opportunities Internships
These credit-earning internships are designed to provide hands-on experience in a student's field of study. Typically taken during a student’s last semester at SCCC, an internship combines course experience with instructor support, allowing students to simultaneously apply their new knowledge in a real-world setting. While these credit-earning internships are typically unpaid, the practical experience significantly enhances employability and professional skills. An internship is a great addition to a resume!
Any student wishing to register for their major program’s internship course will need to complete all internship course pre-requisites prior to registering. Check out your major’s Recommended Program Course Sequence to review your progress and eligibility with your Academic Advisor or visit the Student Success Center counselors.
All internships offered through SCCC require the Internship Permission Form and the Internship Insurance Form to be completed, signed, and submitted to the internship course instructor prior to beginning an internship. All internship placements need the internship course instructor’s permission. There will also be required coursework that will enhance and supplement your “on the job” internship experience. Contact Nancy Gallo for the required forms.
Contact your Program's Supervisor with any questions.
