Idiom and Image Student Magazine

The Idiom & Image Magazine is the creative work of students from Sussex County Community College.

SCCC Students present their work in the forms of writing to artistic expression: including poetry, creative writing, short fiction, non-fiction, drawing, painting, digital concepts, photography, sculpture, mixed media, fashion, and collages.

Submissions for the 2021 Idiom & Image Student Publication

Theme: "COMMUNITY"
Submissions for the 2021 Publication should reflect the contributor's creative interpretation and exploration of the Community. Subject matter may explore:

  • Relationship or fellowship with others
  • Connections with people, places, things, ideas, or professions
  • Shared ideals, and more.

Format: Work can be presented in any form of writing or artistic expression, including poetry, creative writing, short fiction, non-fiction, drawing, painting, digital concepts, photography, sculpture, mixed media, fashion, collage, etc.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Email digital files to the faculty adviser, Anita Collins, at acollins@sussex.edu before March 5, 2021. In the body of the email, type your name, the title of your submission, and the medium you used to create your submission. Students may submit up to 5 pieces. Acceptance notifications will be sent in April 2021. The publication is estimated for August 2021.

FILE REQUIREMENTS: Send files as .doc or .jpeg attachments. Do NOT put work in the body of the email. Do not link to an outside website. Be prepared to submit a high-resolution image upon acceptance. Name your file: LAST NAME, I&I 2021.
